Our farm-to-fork philosophy
Inspired by the variety of fresh produce grown on our working farm, and locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, Executive Chef Lennard Marais creates sensational dishes that showcase the flavours of the Cape Winelands. Our ever-changing menus have something for every palate and preference, while our sommelier-crafted wine list pairs perfectly with the romance of our slow-paced estate.

Breakfast

As a guest at La Residence, you can enjoy the ideal start to your day with breakfast, which here in Franschhoek is often an indulgent affair. All manner of cereals and fruits are on offer, as well as a scrumptious hot breakfast menu and continental selection including cold meats, cheeses and delicious pastries. Non-residents are welcome by prior reservation only.
Lunch with a view
SERVED DAILY | 12h30 – 15h00 (last seating at 14h00)
La Residence is one of the most scenic lunch reservations in Franschhoek. Our menu emphasises fresh, local ingredients. Dine on the Loggia overlooking the pond or in The Great Hall underneath dazzling chandeliers. No lunch would be complete without a carefully selected wine from our extensive list.
Afternoon Tea
SERVED DAILY | 15h00 – 17h00 (last seating at 16h00)
Our whimsical tiers of sweet and savoury treats pair perfectly with afternoon catchups and a fragrant cup of tea. Enjoy our pastry chef’s delights on the Loggia overlooking our tranquil pond or next to the crackling fireplace in The Great Hall. Bookings are essential and full payment including a 12% service fee (for 6 or more guests) is required in order to confirm your booking. Should you have any dietary requirements, please let us know when you make your reservation.
Afternoon Tea (min. of 2 guests) is R345 per person including 6 items, speciality coffee, tea & juice.
Dinner
SERVED DAILY | 18h30 – 23h30 (last seating at 20h00)
End the day with a delectable dinner and something special from our extensive wine list. The palatial dining area at La Residence is known as The Great Hall. It’s resplendent with dazzling chandeliers, black and white Victorian tiles and inviting fireplaces. Embark on a culinary journey at your own pace in the cosy yet opulent atmosphere.
Chef's Table
Experience a completely personalised and interactive evening with one of our renowned chefs. A four-course meal complete with amuse-bouches, palate cleanser and petits fours will be prepared in front of you as our chefs share their cooking secrets. With a perfect wine pairing recommended by one our wine stewards, this is an evening to be savoured.

The Vineyard Venue is an intimate private event space at La Residence that can accommodate up to 30 guests (minimum of 10). It is ideal for birthday celebrations, afternoon teas, private lunches and dinners, baby showers, corporate events or intimate weddings.
