From fresh salads to vegan alternatives, meals can be designed to meet our guests’ individual palates and dietary requirements and the all-inclusive rate means that you never need to leave the comfort of the hotel. Dishes are served in your choice of setting: overlooking the ocean, next to our dual level pool, in our glass fronted dining area or simply enjoyed in the privacy of your suite.
Mussel Picking and Seaside Foraging
Guests love joining our chefs on Mussel Picking excursions along the rocks below Birkenhead House. Learn how to safely pick these delicious marine treats before our chefs provide a ”Master Class” on how to cook them on an open fire incorporating other fresh ingredients. Enjoy your steaming hot mussels with freshly baked bread and a glass of your favourite white wine as you recount stories of the day’s adventures. Guests can also go foraging for edible Fynbos species along the coastal shoreline.
