“The Silo is one of Cape Towns newest hotels. Built on top of some old grain silos, the Silo occupies floors 6-9 with the rooftop having a bar and restaurant. The ground floor is home to the Zeitz MOCAA. That is an interesting trip as well.
The rooms are spectacular. The walls are almost entirely glass rising at least 25 feet. Depending on the room one can see the Atlantic Ocean, the V&A Waterfront, Robben Island and Table Mountain. Giant chandeliers provide the lighting with a mixture of a contemporary and African interior.
Two restaurants are excellent, with a friendly staff and management.”

“We were lucky enough to stay in a deluxe suite that s easily the best city hotel room we have ever stayed at. The entry level room is sheer luxury too. The staff were so welcoming, personable and welcoming. Jessica was our first charming staff member and everyone after that was equally personable. We found out that the hotel is family owned and there is a real sense of hands on and attention to detail. I cannot say enough about the exquisite art and decorating. Each room is unique but an incredible standard. I can see that it will become a must visit location. “

“The Silo Hotel is perfect for a special dinner. The building and the windows are truly stunning. The food was reasonably priced given the surroundings and the wine very good. The personnel is very professional and funny. Make sure you come for sunset!”

I cannot begin to describe how incredibly wonderful the experience a the Silo Hotel was – everything was absolute perfection and based on my stay there it is quite clear to me that Cape Town has burst into another league with this property. The attention to detail is exceptional and nothing is done without forethought and care. The staff were all absolutely incredible and the level of professionalism rivals any of the top international boutique hotels – in fact in many instances, it exceeds it.

I remember the great enjoyment of staying 2 nights in your amazing hotel on the occasion of the public opening weekend of the Zeitz/Mocaa museum (designed by my son Thomas and his team), –your immaculate door staff, the lavish breakfasts, the thrill of the bathtub with breathtaking views through the faceted windowpanes, and even the incredible snacks waiting in the room!

We were extremely impressed with The Silo and feel the traditions of the Royal Portfolio were very evident during our stay. World class customer service and attention to detail in the accommodation. What has been done with the obvious constrictions has been amazing and
the buzz of floor 6 & 11, contrasts well with the tranquility in the bedrooms.

This is a true 5 star hotel inside out. The pastries where made with utmost professionalism from a pastry chef and everything tasted heavenly. The interior of this hotel is totally different from anything I have seen. Spectacular must be the word.
On my second visit to this hotel, my husband and I enjoyed cocktails at the bar and again Brandon the manager went out of this way to make us feel at home. I just can’t compliment this hotel enough on the suburb service.

We hosted international VIP visitors and wanted to give them an optimum Cape Town experience in the few hours they had available. The Silo Hotel ‘came to the party’ big time! The view, the service, the ambiance, and the snacks we enjoyed along with tall glasses of the best Waterkloof wine the Cape offers was all perfect.

Unique hotel and piece of art at the Waterfront. Exceptional location and 360 views of Cape Town. Bar on the 6th floor and rooftop on 11th are excellent meeting points for trendy people. Hotel staff are very friendly and professional, always ready to assist. We will definitely be back.

Detail Style and first class service. The Hotel surpasses expectations. Having stayed at several of the Royal Portfolio Hotels you recognize the homely and sophisticated feel instantly. Hands on management giving that personnel touch sets this hotel apart in the Center of Cape Town. A memorable stay in a spectacular location.

The building is architecturally interesting, and located just off the fun V & A Waterfront. The view is great and you can get a closeup view of those amazing twelve-foot windows.

Wow! This is the “it” spot to be in Cape Town! Beautiful rooms, so cool roof top bar and lounge, great public spaces! Loved the food, was so good and not TOO FANCY! With rooms and bathrooms like these, you may never want to leave your room. Good location in the waterfront, where you can walk to dining and other entertainment options.
Michelle - Dallas, Texas, March 2017
