The original Biden family bush homestead has been reinvented as the ultimate safari villa – the perfect setting for families and groups of friends looking to truly get away from it all and enjoy making memories together. The reopening of Africa House in June 2023 is one of the most exciting developments in the history of Royal Malewane, and has created a unique opportunity to enjoy contemporary luxury in the heart of the Greater Kruger bushveld. At the heart of Africa House, the long room provides ample space for playing, relaxing and getting on with the important things in life. Whether it’s playing pool or stepping into the boma for a slice of wood-fired pizza or a safari story around the firepit, the long room is always the focus. Together with a second, larger courtyard, this magical space contributes to the family and friends feel of Africa House. Dedicated living and eating areas draw people together, while the double spa treatment room and gym room offer moments of relaxation and energising rejuvenation. The reimagined Africa House is all about togetherness and sharing spaces, views and memorable moments like watching elephants traversing the dry riverbed below the villa.

Available only on an exclusive-use basis, Africa House features six guest rooms for up to 12 guests, and children of all ages are welcome. During your stay, you can design your own daily programme – the private services team will ensure that you get to enjoy the meals you want, whenever and wherever that may be. When you decide it’s time to head into the bush, you’ll be in the safe hands of a private Guide and Tracker drawn from South Africa’s most qualified guiding team.
