Franschhoek's Top Art Galleries

La Residence

Franschhoek, home of La Residence, is widely regarded as South Africa’s food and wine capital. But it is also home to some of the country’s finest art galleries and is swiftly establishing a name as one of South Africa’s premier cultural destinations. We’ve selected eight of our favourite galleries.

EVERARD READ

Known as one of the regions’ most established art galleries, Everard Read showcases some of South Africa’s finest contemporary artists through a variety of media. Located in a heritage building next to Le Quartier Francais, this beautiful space shares a sculpture garden with the kitchen garden of La Petit Colombe next door.
