Indulgence, speciality treatments and serenity in the heart of Cape Town.

We recently celebrated The Silo Hotel’s first birthday – the perfect opportunity to catch up with spa manager Asiya Ebrahim to chat about the truly unique spa experience offered at The Silo Hotel and to discover some of the most popular treatments.

Tell us a bit more about the products The Silo Spa is using?

We’re using top international products including Ling and Black Pearl. The Silo Spa is the only spa in Africa to use Ling products. And in keeping with our company values, we’re also proud to offer a variety of treatments using local Terre D’Afrique products which are both organic and fair trade.

What makes your treatment process unique?

Besides the exclusivity of our products, I think our consultation and treatment process makes a real difference in terms of where we’re heading with the guest experience. We’d like to be a location that guests revisit and feel completely relaxed in. Developing relationships with each guest is paramount. At the core our purpose is to create an experience that is deeply personal.

We aim to give each guest the one on one service that sometimes lacks in bigger spas and to make guests feel like nothing is too much trouble. Tailoring their treatment to meet their needs – the best way to do that is through communication.

Are there any new technologies or techniques that you are using?

We have recently brought in a range of amazing Bio Cellulose sheet masks. They provide perfect adhesion to the skin, delivering high quality active ingredients for amazing results. These masks are a must have when travelling, or even on the days your skin needs a little boost.  Guests are able to add them to most treatments or purchase them for home use.

What were some of the challenges faced by you and your team over the past year?

The biggest challenge we faced last year was breaking into a well-established industry. With such amazing spas in close proximity we knew it would be a challenge. But I was happy to see that Capetonians were keen to try something new and specialised, that’s been very encouraging.

What were some of your highlights?

The biggest highlight has been the incredible, positive feedback we’ve received from guests. It’s always great knowing that a guest had a memorable treatment, particularly when the team has been working so hard.

Asiya and her team of expert therapists will ensure that you receive the perfect treatment for your individual skin type and requirements through an interactive consultation process.

The Silo Spa is open to the public by reservation and subject to availability. Gift vouchers are also available.
