TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All Accommodation rates are guaranteed for the dates/periods confirmed.
All transfers and additional activity rates that are outsourced are not guaranteed and may be changed without prior notice until final confirmation 30 days prior to the event.
Rates include accommodation, all meals & snacks, tea and coffee and all local beverages.
All S.T.O rates are net and non-commissionable.
All rates include 14% VAT and tourism Levy. Should the government increase any of these then the hotel reserves the right to
possibly increase the rates.
All rates are quoted in
South African Rands (ZAR) and foreign currency payments are accepted at the banks daily rate of exchange valid in South Africa on the date that the payment is received. Payments must be made in South African Rand via wire transfer, net of bank charges (all charges for remitters account).
Transfers to and from the nearest airport to Royal Malewane, Birkenhead House, Birkenhead Villa & La Residence can be arranged at an additional cost.
Pricing, Payment and Cancellation Policy
A reservation is not secure until such time as a deposit has been received and Royal Malewane, Birkenhead House, Birkenhead Villa and La Residence reserve the right up until that time to cancel such reservations without prior notice.
A 25% deposit is payable within fourteen (14) days from date of confirmation, with the balance due fourteen (14) days prior to guests’ arrival at the lodge.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable within fourteen (14) days from date of confirmation for all group bookings and all bookings between the Christmas and New Year peak season. (15 December to the 15 January).
Payments can be made either via a direct wire transfer instruction or internet transfer in South African Rands, nett of bank charges to:

All bank charges are for the remitters account.
A copy of the bank draft/transfer or deposit slip should be faxed to our
central reservations office at +27 (0) 015 793 0633 or+27 (0) 15 793 015 2879.
Failure to notify us of the required details may result in the release of the rooms held, as we will be unable to trace your booking and process the payment.
Please quote Reservation Reference Number on all correspondence.
Cancellation fees will be levied in the event of cancellation and in accordance with the reservation terms and conditions of Royal Malewane , Birkenhead House, Birkenhead Villa and La Residence.
The following cancellation fees will be applied should a booking be cancelled within the following period:
8 – 4 weeks prior to arrival 25% of total accommodation
4 – 2 weeks prior to arrival 50% of total accommodation
2 weeks prior to arrival 100% of total accommodation
All Group reservations and bookings between the 15 December and the 15 January carry a 25% non-refundable cancellation fee
We would suggest that you are covered by a travel insurance policy in the event of an unforeseen cancellation.
Please advise us on any specific dietary requirements you may have.
CHILD POLICY
Royal Malewane
Main lodge area:
No children under the age of 12 are accepted in the double luxury suites or the main lodge area, unless the entire lodge is booked for exclusive use.
Royal Suite and Malewane Suite:
Children of all ages are welcome in the Royal Suite and the Malewane Suite if booked on an all inclusive basis (i.e. private chef, private butler, 4 complimentary massages and private game drives). Children will however be restricted to their suites.
Birkenhead House & La Residence
No children under the age of 12 unless the entire hotel is booked for exclusive use.
Birkenhead Villa
Children of all ages welcome.
